Editing

Once your written work has been through a structural and stylistic edit, it is ready for copy editing. At this point, your work is structurally sound, flows well and clearly conveys its intent; its language has been refined to provide an engaging experience for your readers.

Copy editing involves ensuring your work is correct, complete, consistent and accurate:

- editing for grammar, spelling, punctuation and word usage

- ensuring the presentation of information is consistent throughout

- checking the accuracy of information and facts

- ensuring visual elements are correct and complete

If you have finished making changes to your material, you are ready for a copy edit.
